SCHOOL DAY PROGRAMS

Teachers partner with us to bring their learning and curricula to life through hands-on opportunities in our garden and trail spaces. We currently offer nearly 50 different course options, supported by our program educators, to allow teachers a grade appropriate option for their students on a recurring basis throughout the school year.

after school outdoor adventures

Each week we offer a different hands-on activity to investigate and discover what’s happening in nature. Go on a trial hike to observe changes in the forest, search for spider webs, hunt fossils, collect seeds and do some planting, create art with natural materials, learn about compost, try out a magnifying glass to watch a worm or look at insects and more!

summer events

Family Harvest Time is a special time where you can see the garden up close and help us harvest the produce in preparation for our next delivery to LIFE Food Pantry.

Kids Exploring Nature lets you join our educators and Certified Volunteer Naturalists to explore the garden and trail with a different weekly topic. Expect lesson topics like “I Spy…”, “Homes in Nature”, “Shapes and Colors in Nature…” and more!

Story Time In The Garden is offered by Children’s Services at the Loveland Public Library for story time right in our garden along with a fun activity in a collaborative effort to provide our community members with new and exciting ways to explore the world around them.

community outreach

We want kids of all ages, including grown-up “kids” to enjoy the outdoors, care for nature and be good environmental stewards. Look for us at community events like the Loveland Farmer’s Market, Loveland Showcase Night, and LPS & LES Parent Information Night.

We further our impact by working with others who share our vision. Our garden produce is donated and delivered to LIFE Food Pantry.

Local groups such as Boys & Girls Scouts, youth sports teams, religious groups, LHS National Honors Society, Love Our Land, Rotary Do Days, and others like them volunteer to help us keep our garden and trail spaces well-cared for and maintained for all to enjoy during their visits.
